Bake a cake
IngredientsSelf Raising Flour(125g 4oz)
2 Large Eggs
caster sugar(125g 4oz)
butter(125g 4oz)
1 tea spoon of Baking Powder

Equipment:
Mixing Bowl
Electric Whisk
Knife
Spoon
2 Cake Tins (18cm)
Wire Rack
Pastry brush
Grease Proof Paper
All-in-one-mix
Simply beat all the ingredients together (with a electric whisk for two minutes) in the bowl(except the chocolate).This recipe makes a plain sponge cake.Baking two cakes means you can layer them up and fill it with jam or fresh cream.You can also add flavour to the mixture like cocoa powder, dried fruit, or vanilla.
Sponge Cake
Divide the mixture evenly between two lined tins.Spread the mixture flat so the cake rises evenly.Let them cool down before you spread on the topping.keep the cake in a cool place eaten within two days. (preheat the oven to 170 c/325 F/Gas Mask 3
Method:for the sponge cake
1.Fill the tins with the mixture(Make sure you have grease-proof-paper in the tin
2.Spread the mixture,bake in the oven for 20 minutes
3.Out of the oven,allow the cakes to cool down(run a knife around the edge of the cake because it may get stuck to the tin)
4.Remove the cakes(hold the rim of the tin,give it a bit of a tap,tip the cake out of the tin and onto the rack.)
5.Leave it to get cold (carefully peel off the paper.
Melting Chocolate
To melt the chocolate,pour very hot water into a bowl.Sit anotheron top and pop the chocolate chunks in.the hot water will melt the chocolate.
Method:for the top and filling
1.To help melt the chocolate stir the chocolate
2.Add the cream (take the bowl out of the hot water) stir the cream into the chocolate (yummm)
3.spread the filling put two spoonfuls on the bottom layer (spread it over with a knife)
4.place the top layer of sponge on top of it.
5.Pour on the topping,spoon the rest of the chocolate on top.
6.Spreaad it all over,use a knife to spread the mixtureover the top and down the sides.
